A Chorus Under Glass

Carver uses a spectral hand to part living plants as Rage and Ignatius cross a chamber carpeted in glowing violet fungi.

Depicted moment

During Session 2, the party crossed a smaller Crystal Gardens chamber lit by phosphorescent leaves. Violet fungi carpeted the floor and sang in a cacophony of overlapping voices. When two plants shifted to bar the exit, Carver used a spectral hand to quietly move them aside.

The illustration compresses the fungal chorus and the unobtrusive use of the spell into one narrative moment. The exact conservatory structure and arrangement of plants are atmospheric interpretation.

Canonical status

  • Canonical Session 2 flavor art.
  • Rage, Carver, and Ignatius follow their canonical character references and established relative scale.
  • Carver’s spell is depicted as a single translucent magical hand; it is not Chip or another creature.
  • The fungi’s visible ripples evoke their song without defining how their voices sounded or establishing an additional magical effect.
