Current situation

The party has escaped Martira Bay aboard Captain Snowmane’s River Dancer and begun its passage through the Mists toward Barovia. After passing Lamordia’s icy border and meeting a Vistani sailor who warned them to be cautious, the ship has reached an unidentified swampy landmass that leaves Snowmane terrified and unwilling to return.
