The Heckler Takes Wing

Scene

After a failed street performance, Rage answers a heckler with magically empowered mockery. Carver notices that the man’s leathery cape is actually a pair of wings before the werebat transforms and escapes over Martira Bay’s rooftops.

Artistic interpretation

The werebat’s human appearance, clothing, transitional anatomy, crowd, street, and exact magical effect are interpretive. Rage’s amber-and-blue rings continue the established visual shorthand for his bardic power.
