Rage’s First Thunderwave

On a mist-covered forest road, Rage strikes the paired drums at his waist as a square-edged wave of compressed air hurls zombies away from him beside the coach.

Depicted moment

Surrounded by the dead on the southern road, Rage discovers the force of his new bardic magic. His first thunderwave blasts the lesser corpses backward and opens the way for the party’s escape.

Artistic interpretation

The image isolates Rage within a moment that also involved his companions. The square-edged pressure bands provide a visible language for concussive sound rather than literal lightning. An initial version suffered from pervasive granular microtexture; a revision repainted the scene with cleaner surfaces and broader forms, and the accepted final version relocated the encounter from an open landscape to its proper mist-covered forest road.
