Depicted moment

In the Castle Avernus Beast Prison, Hyskosa’s ordinary face dissolves as an illusion, revealing his empty eye sockets. Rage and Carver fall to their knees, overcome by grief.

Artistic interpretation

The dissolving mask-like veil visualizes the illusory face without treating it as a physical injury. The prison’s cage placement and the precise expression of the psychic effect are interpretive.

Canonical status

Accepted Session 18 artwork. It preserves Hyskosa’s established eyeless identity and non-glowing eye amulet, and depicts the party’s recorded emotional collapse without adding a known source for it.
