- The party reached it after escaping the endlessly replenishing skeleton horde in the Bone Chambers.
- An undead spirit summoned from Carver’s scroll scouted the tunnel and returned unharmed before the party entered.
- The room contains numerous spellbooks, magical components, experiments, and a single door to a simpler storeroom.
- The storeroom held preserved heads in glass jars; Ignatius thought one watched the party, and an eyeball on a shelf also seemed to stare outward.
- The party found and took a Ring of Protection, a slightly red-tinted Sun Blade, Bracers of Defense, two potions of greater healing, a green bottle of Sanguine Solution, a spellbook, and nearby writings covered in patterns and scribbles.
- Ratlike creatures scratched in a far corner and fled when Ignatius investigated.
- While the party searched, a dragon screeched above and the foundation shook as though something enormous had landed in a roost.
Last known condition
The laboratory’s purpose, its watching specimens, and the source of the dragon’s arrival remain unknown.
