Some cages contain jars, vials, reagents, and spell components.
Others contain ordinary animals, monstrous beasts, a halfling woman, and the mongrelman Siv.
Siv was held here as punishment for stealing from Azalin.
Carver picked the lock and freed Siv.
Siv warned the party not to trust the halfling woman.
The party left the halfling woman and all other caged creatures imprisoned.
No other exit offered the party a direct route upward.
