Known facts

  • Lafing and another fox were imprisoned together in the Castle Avernus Beast Prison.
  • Both transformed into werefoxes and initially attacked after Rage freed them.
  • The party persuaded them it meant no harm.
  • A nearby werebear reached from its cage, seized Lafing’s companion, and killed her.
  • After the party killed the werebear, Carver carried off Lafing’s companion’s body in the hope that she could be saved.
  • Lafing gave his name and traveled with the party to the torture chamber.
  • Carver used a raise dead scroll to restore Lafing’s companion, whose name is Fling.

Current status

Scouting the forests around Vallaki with Fling while searching for knowledge that might help them take revenge on Azalin. Lafing says they are entertainers from Dumandu who were born werefoxes, then taken by Azalin to be studied. He finds Barovia’s living forests comforting but warns against travel at night.
